Unleash the Avatar Gameplay Breakdown – 10 Cool Things We Loved in the New Trailer
Unleash the Avatar Gameplay Breakdown: 10 Cool Things We Noticed!
You all must have seen the new gameplay trailer of Unleash the Avatar. In fact, it is not a trailer but a complete gameplay segment which we played ourselves. Yes, we went to AOS Games a few days ago to try out the game where we played the exact sequence. Many new mechanics were also tried in it like that Chakra and even transformations. So in today's video, let's talk about 10 cool things that we saw while playing the game and how did we like them? Just before we start, brother, please press the like button because today's target is 5000 likes. Hopefully you will get it done.
Not a Triple-A, But an Indie Powerhouse
First of all, you should know that Unleash the Eternal is not a triple A game. Even though some people in the comments of the official trailer were saying that its visuals look like triple A. But in reality, it will fall in the category of an indie game because AOS Games has a team of around 40 people who are developing it.
And many other games with similar team sizes have provided similar visuals. Be it Hellblade or Expedition 33. Rest here they have officially confirmed that generative AI has not been used in making the game.
Massive Visual Improvements
Well, I was personally surprised that the game looked so much better in just a few months. Meaning animations, graphics, combat, everything has been greatly improved. Experience developers have also joined the team. New and unique mechanics have also been introduced, which we will talk about gradually.
Story and Setting: Alternate India Across Time and Space
Then friend, if we talk about the setting and story of the game, then we don't know much about it. But according to the official website, an alternative India has been shown in it. Where it is written that friend experience India across time space and the three locusts. Yes, it looks different from the first trailer because according to them, it was made just to showcase the photogrammetry systems. The story that he wants to show is the current setting, which is actually inspired by alternate high fantasy and Indian epic.
Main Character and Plot
The main character of the game is Vikram, who is initially an agent but then after a lot of trials and suffering, he gains wisdom. After which strength also comes. The name of the place is Vishwapur. A town that is almost empty. The boundary between hell and earth has been broken. Due to which demons and devils have come to earth. Now only Vikram can stop them. On whom Lord Vishnu also has his blessings. We must stop the Demons' plans and restore balance. If you look at the translation of the image given on the website, these are some verses where hell, justice and self are discussed.
Evolved Art Style and Realistic Environments
Now you will see that some changes have been made in its art style. In the previous trailer, the art style was kept very realistic which was good but it was not that impactful. This time a little stylization has been added to it, which I personally find better. Even the area is quite dense.
There are a lot of objects. A little fog and particles may be added. But I think my environment still feels quite atmospheric. In this, all the assets were scanned in real world with the help of photogrammetry, for which towns like Chanderi were scanned.
And then with his help many realistic assets were created. Rest of the time, the quality of water also seems good.
Souls-Like Inspirations and Boss Fights
Anyway, you should also know that this is a Souls-like game for which Varun and his team are inspired from games like Shadows Die Twice. So, players may actually see a lot of similarities. There are going to be a lot of boss fights in this one. And usually it will be difficult to defeat the enemies. Like at the end of this game play, Nashahari Manai monster came.
And brother, he kept attacking after attacking after attacking. Which means you'll have to die a lot to properly understand all of his attacks. There was even a second phase of his fight where he comes back to life and starts doing even more dangerous attacks.
Like spewing fire from the mouth. Now yes, in our play test everyone was given only one chance to play. So I died at the beginning of the boss fight. That's why I couldn't play it for long.
Improved Animations and Motion Capture
Well, the quality of cut scenes and animations has improved a lot. When we were at Aeos' office, we actually got to see their motion capture studio, which was huge. There, the artists perform actions wearing sensor-equipped suits, which are recorded by cameras installed nearby. And then all the animations and motion are captured and created. But he told that in the previous trailer, only one animation was motion captured and that was the aura, but this time Mokab has been used heavily. Where we also saw some animations which have not yet been seen in the gameplay trailer. That's why you will see that the quality of the scenes is also very good. I just think that the dialogues and voice acting could have been a little better. Like how impactful the dialogues of South Indian movies are. Something similar should happen here too.
Aura Farming and Stylish Combat Moves
By the way, Aura reminded me that Aura Farming is actually going to be a feature of this game. While many combat moves are designed in such a way that the player will deliberately perform some stylish moves. Like he will be able to block attacks by turning his bag towards the enemy just for darshan. Also, in the finishers, the enemy will be killed in some stylish way. So it's good that Yar Aura Farming has been made a mechanic at all. Anyway, we know how Indian films are known for over the top action. So maybe people liked it. By the way, tell us what you think about it in the comments below.
The Chakra Mechanic: Skill, Timing, and Physics
Anyways moving to the next mechanic which I found really cool because out of all the people who came to play the game, I was the only one who was able to do it the best. It has a wheel that you can throw at objects and enemies. This will damage enemies and bounce off the object. Sounds like a Leviathan X from the Order Wars, where you aim it, hit it anywhere and then recall it. But there is a big difference that this X will always come into your hands.
But you will have to catch the fragmented Chakra because man, it has physics. If the end timing is not right then you will miss it. End Chakras will also be limited. So you cannot lose it. Basically it has four possibilities. You'll need to catch it either by dutching or by jumping. Which depends on how high the Chakra is coming back from. And yes, in this the left and right keys also have to be used accordingly.
Varun had said that if you get the timing right then you can keep the Chakra running continuously which is a lot of fun. And to Blue Onch was coming to me also. My only suggestion regarding this is that when a player keeps hitting the Chakra repeatedly with timing, then combos can be displayed on the screen for this, due to which he will get points. Like in Spiderman, when you keep spinning in the air again and again, it is actually displayed on the screen. Even an achievement or trophy can be added for this.
Transformations and God-Like Abilities
Anyway, moving on to the next mechanic is transformations. Basically you can convert into many different forms. Just like we become the Dark Prince in Prince of Persia. And this will provide us with god-like abilities for a limited time. But yes, during our playtest, only one form was seen which is Feather Prism Form. Look at its attack etc., we did not get to see much. Well, a timer can also be added during transformations. But again this early alpha game players. So maybe all this will definitely be planned for the future.
Combat Mechanics and Improvements Needed
But now let's talk about combat which I think is going to be the most important part. Because if it's fun, people will keep playing this game for hours and will do swede runs. Otherwise it will remain another Indian game with good graphics. So in combat, we have options like block, dodge, parry and stagger attacks. You can lock in on an enemy and kill him.
And even has a stamina mechanic. Combat is decent, fast page too. But I think the combat still needs to be made more fluid and responsive. If the blood effect when you kill an enemy or get hit is improved, and the sounds are improved, then the combat can become much more addictive. Just like loss solar side. Even though that game had a lot of problems, I think its combat was its strong selling point.
Navigation and Exploration
And finally let's come to navigation. So there's not going to be direct location markers or anything like that. In fact, you will have to actively play the game. And the background sounds, brother, you will have to follow them too because they will take you to the next objective.
Platforms, Release Window, and Final Thoughts
Talking about other platforms, For Now the game will come for PC via stream handled PCs like Stream Deck. They will also try it, but for now their focus is on desktop PCs and laptops. Whether it will be available on other consoles or not is not confirmed yet. And yes, whenever it goes live on stream, it can be wishlisted.
This is going to be a one-time purchase premium game with no battle pass, loot boxes, or daily grind. Then if we talk about the release date here, they have said that since this is the first production of AOS Games. So he cannot tell the launch date accurately. But yes, internally the launch window of 2026 has been planned. Rest of the friends, their play tests will continue for which one can register through their socials. There will also be a Creators Program for Unleash the Evertar later on.
